Danbury Native Joe Lacava Inducted Into Caddie Hall of Fame
Joe Lacava has strong local ties, he lives in Southbury, was born in Danbury and was raised in Newtown. Lacava has been at the center of the golf world since 2011 as Tiger Woods' caddie. He's now been inducted in the Caddie Hall of Fame and the honor is well deserved. Tiger Woods agrees, he posted about Joe's achievement on Instagram.
It could not have been an easy eight years for Lacava. Lacava became Tiger's caddie after Tiger's best and brightest years as a golfer. He saw Tiger battle with injuries and was by his side, as people questioned whether Tiger had lost his confidence in the wake of the 2009 scandal. Neither man gave up and as a team, they pulled off a feat most thought to be impossible. In April, a 43 year old Tiger Woods won the Masters with Joe at his side, when absolutely no one believed they could.
Congratulations Joe. I know Danbury, Newtown and Southbury are extremely proud of your accomplishments.
