Memorial Day Magic in Danbury – See Who Made the 2025 Parade Gallery
Following a stretch of chilly, rainy days, the sun finally returned—right on cue—for one of Danbury, Connecticut’s most cherished traditions: the Memorial Day Parade.

Families lined the streets, flags waved in the breeze, and the community came together to honor our heroes. The 2025 celebration was filled with sunshine, patriotic spirit, and plenty of smiling faces. Take a look at who we spotted in this year’s photo gallery.

I’ve lived in a bunch different places over the years and let me tell you—there’s no place quite like Danbury. I love this city. What truly sets Danbury apart is its sense of community. Despite its diversity—of cultures, backgrounds, and opinions—there’s a shared desire here to come together, to belong, and to build something meaningful as neighbors.
There’s nothing quite like living in Downtown Danbury, especially on a day like Memorial Day. It only takes me a one-block walk to be right in the heart of it all—surrounded by families, veterans, marching bands, and smiling faces. These are the kinds of days that remind you what makes small-city life so rewarding.
And after a weekend of rain and gray skies, Monday brought a welcome change. The sun finally broke through, and you could feel the energy shift. People were ready—almost desperate—to get outside, shake off the dreariness, and celebrate hard. It was a great day in the Hat City, and I was the only one in my house that actually got up early enough to enjoy it this year.
Help me remember that for next year in case someone yells at me for sleeping in.
