UPDATE: A second man, Ernest Price as referenced at the bottom of this article has been found. This information was  confirmed by Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour this morning on the Ethan and Lou Show in a brief interview with the Chief.

On January 27, I-95 announced  a Silver Alert had been issued, as police look for a local man. 57-year-old Todd Smith, pictured above, was last seen on January 16, 2021, according to the Danbury Police Department.

Thursday morning we had Danbury Mayor Joe Cavo on the Ethan and Lou Show and asked him about the case. Cavo had this to say:

"I have no information because it's an ongoing investigation, but I can tell you the reason we do this (Silver Alert) is because when someone is not available and someone reports somebody missing, they use this system as a way to engage the public. To say, look, if you see somebody that even remotely looks like this person, please call the Danbury Police Department so we can investigate and try to find out circumstances."

He continued later,

"It's a mystery and we're trying to solve that mystery. You know, we look for everybody's help on it. So usually they post some good pictures of the person and we put it out there for the public. Somebody, somewhere has seen something. We just hope for everybody's help in trying to solve this."

Smith was last seen in the area of 93 Mill Plain Road in Danbury.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Todd Smith, you are being asked to contact Lt. Carroccio at 203-797-4665 or the Danbury Police Department at 203-797-4611.

Below is the audio from our interview with Danbury Mayor Joe Cavo. There is a second "missing man" referenced in the interview.

Cavo said he "thinks" 31 year old Ernest Pierce is still missing as well. I have reached out to the Danbury P.D. for an update on Pierce and have not yet heard back.
