If you're a 50-year-old guy, I'm thinking that supplying a 15-year-old girl with alcohol and then making sexual advances could be a crummy idea.

From a press release out of the Danbury Police Department comes word of a complaint filed against 50-year-old, Richard Sherwood of Danbury, who's been accused of purchasing alcohol for a 15-year-old girl and then making sexual advances towards her.

The Danbury Police Special Victims Unit was assigned to investigate the case and on May 5, an arrest warrant was issued against Sherwood.

Sherwood was charged with risk of injury to a minor and permitting a minor to possess alcohol.

I don't know Mr. Sherwood, but if you're buying booze for a 15-year-old and then trying to seduce her, there may be some issues you want to take a closer look at. I'm not judging, nor insinuating that Mr. Sherwood has an issue, but the mainstream population would probably agree with me that what he is being charged with is not in anyone's best interests.

Mr. Sherwood did turn himself in, and is free on $5,000 bond, and will appear in court to answer to those charges on May 10. For anyone in crisis for any reason who are looking for help, pick up the phone and dial 2-1-1.
