Danbury Issues Urgent Boil Water Advisory – What You Need to Know!
If you're a resident of Danbury, make sure to take note of an important update.
Due to a water main break on Hayestown Avenue, the City of Danbury is issuing a Boil Water Advisory for all residents as a safety precaution. While repairs are underway, water quality is being tested, and this advisory is in place to ensure public health.
The good news is that the repair is expected to be completed by Sunday, December 8. However, the results of the water samples to determine when the boil water advisory can be lifted will not be available until Tuesday, December 10.
To stay up to date on this situation, or for any further details, make sure to check the City of Danbury’s official website at www.danbury-ct.gov. Stay safe and be sure to follow the advisory guidelines until the all-clear is given!
I came downstairs in the middle of the night to a sink full of all of our ice and was annoyed thinking one of the kids was doing some sort of TikTok science experiment in the twilight hours. Then, I remembered Erica told me about the boil water advisory. Since it was the middle of the night and my brain was not working at full capacity, I just thought OK, I'll have water with no ice.
That's not how that works, I caught myself before taking the first sip and opted for a 2 am Coca-Cola. Let's move this water thing along please, I'm too tired to have to be thinking.
UPDATE: Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves called into the I-95 Morning Show today to clear up some misinformation that has been floating around the Hat City.
Also this from Erin Henry: "Hayestown Ave is back open in both directions."
Here is the pipe that burst.
