Danbury High Graduates Class Of 2018
A near record number of seniors made their final day count at Danbury High School as parents, friends and teachers gathered to be a part of the 2018 Graduation ceremonies.
It was the final time, one long walk from the school to the Football Stadium for hundreds of Danbury High School Seniors, but this time it had a very special meaning.
Almost 700 students, a near record number, entered to the traditional "Pomp and Circumstance" and made their way to the hundreds of chairs that would be their final stop on a long four year journey.
Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton gave the official greeting and asked the graduates for just three things, to continue to follow him on social media, to always have faith, and to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead.
Danbury Principal Dan Donovan, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sal Pascarella, and Board of Ed Chairperson Patrick Johnston also addressed the graduates.
Over a thousand parents, relatives and friends, some who parked as far as blocks away, all watched as names were called and students received what they had worked so hard for over the last four years, their High School Diploma's.
In case you missed any of the Graduation Ceremony, or just want to see it again, here it is in it's entirety, thanks to Hatters TV.
