Cruise Night at Bethel’s Sycamore Drive-In Is a Real Life Time-Hop
After being postponed due to rain, this past Saturday night kicked off Cruise Nights at the Sycamore Diner in Bethel, CT.
The entire atmosphere makes it feel like you've time traveled back into the 1950s. From the diner itself with the neon lights to the classic cars outside, its a temporary time-hop.
From now until September, every Saturday night, classic cars from the 1920s through 1980s gather to show off and share stories. Owners are polishing chrome and wiping off dirt, and excited to tell you the story of them and their car. We highlighted a few cars from this past weekend's cruise night. Let's see what I found:
The first thing I do when I get to a car show is look for my favorite car -- a 1967 Pontiac GTO. If there are any present, I will walk around it a few times and look over every panel. Then, I get to the interior and usually marvel at what the owner did to keep it as cool as it is. Somehow, to me, there is nothing cooler than a '67 GTO, but that's just me.
Most people know of a Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro, but I am looking for the cars you don't always see at shows. What are your favorite classic cars? Which cars should we feature next time?
