What’s your biggest fear? Take a moment to think about it. If you said heights, spiders, sharks, or small enclosed spaces, you're probably like most people—fairly normal. But I promise you, there’s something worse than all of them combined. To tap into this nightmare, you’d need a pretty dark and active imagination.

How about being buried alive? Picture this: you fall unconscious, and when you wake up, you realize you’ve been sealed in a box, buried deep underground. That seems a whole lot worse than a close call with a shark, right? At least with a shark, you’d have a fighting chance.

If you were buried alive, the true terror wouldn’t hit until you realized there was no way out. No one’s coming for you because they think you’re already gone. The dread would build as the hours passed, turning into pure, unimaginable anxiety.

Now, what if I told you this actually happened to someone right here in Connecticut? Meet Midnight Mary—this is her story.

Every October 1st, I kick off a month-long horror movie marathon. Over the years, that month has stretched into November, sometimes lingering just past Thanksgiving. I love a good scare, and I find horror films are a pretty healthy way to experience that. There's the anticipation—creepy music building up, the silence, and then that deep breath before the sudden jump-scare. It's a wild ride. But when I start thinking about being buried alive, well... that’s a whole other nightmare I’m not about to mess with.

Do me a favor: if you ever catch me unconscious, please run tests on me for at least a year before you start shopping for coffins.

Creepy CT - New Images Beyond the Walls of Newtown's Abandoned Asylum - Fairfield Hills

Since it's frowned upon (illegal) to go inside the buildings without permission, there are not that many photos/videos from inside the walls. When a new video or photos surface, I jump on it, and that is exactly what I did when these images appeared on September 23, 2022.
