Connecticut School Bus Crash Results in Minor Injuries
A school bus crash in Connecticut caused some commotion on the roads early in the day on Friday (June 7).
According to a report from NBC Connecticut, the accident happened at about 7:00 AM on Durham Road in Guilford, CT, when a pickup truck and the school bus collided with one another.
There were reportedly nine Guilford High School students on the bus at the time, three of whom suffered minor injuries. Those students along with the driver of the bus were sent to a local hospital for treatment, but the driver of the pickup truck refused medical attention. He wasn't carrying any passengers in the truck.
Although the road isn't closed as of this writing, police have advised drivers to avoid the Durham Road area due to the investigation. They noted that Route 79 in Madison, CT is a good alternate route.
As the investigation continues, police say they'll be monitoring footage from the camera on the school bus.
