The 2023 edition of Tripadvisor.com's Traveler's Choice Best of the Best restaurants is out, and a Connecticut restaurant has been named as one of the best 'Laid back fare that goes above and beyond, without breaking the bank, 'Everyday Eats' restaurants in the country.

According to tripadvisor.com, fewer than 1% of their 8 million listings are named 'Best of the Best', so congratulations Via Emilia Ristorante of Mystic. Via Emilia is located at 24 West Main Street, steps away from Mystic Pizza and the Mystic Drawbridge on Rt. 1. Connecticut Magazine named Via Emilia as one of Connecticut's 25 Best New Restaurants in 2022. Tripadvisor.com says

"Via Emilia is an upscale Italian restaurant located in Mystic,, Connecticut. With an ever-changing menu, they source the freshest ingredients for their dishes, with a focus on hand-made fresh pasta. And don't miss their classic desserts, including tiramisu and cannoli."

Let's take a deeper look into Via Emilia's menu: For Antipasti - Buffalo Mozzarella, Sicilian-style lamb meatballs, PEI Mussels, or an authentic Caesar Salad are among the choices. All of Via Emilia's pastas are freshly made in-house, and you will not find basic Spaghetti, Linguini, or Ziti dishes on their menu, instead you'll find Cappelletti, Tagliolini, and a classic Gnocchi dish.
