Westport residents were treated to quite an unusual show on Monday evening.

According to a social media post from the Westport Fire Department, Firefighters from Engine No. 4 responded to the scene after a report that an animal was in distress. When they arrived, fire fighters discovered a raccoon with a peanut butter jar stuck on his (very little) head.

After rescuing him, the responding fire fighters decided to name him Rocky, before he swiftly ran away with his little jar-less head.

It's no surprise that Rocky found himself in the pickle. According to Raccoons in Attic's list of raccoon bait, peanut butter is a very appealing snack for the little guy, along with caviar, macaroni and cheese, and marshmallows.

So if you want to treat a raccoon to dinner, a peanut butter banana sandwich would be sufficient. They will also accept tacos. Just please, please leave the peanut butter jars out of it, preferably on a high shelf.
