Connecticut’s official state website confirms

“During this one-week sales tax holiday, retail purchases of most clothing and footwear items priced under $100 are exempt from the Connecticut sales and use tax. The exemption during Sales Tax-Free Week applies to each eligible item costing under $100, regardless of how many of those items are sold to a customer on the same invoice.”

According to the Governor’s News Briefing Sales Tax-Free Week is expected to not only be great for shoppers but a great boon for the community retailers.  Many businesses also participate in additional sales which give residents even greater savings.  Stephanie Blozy of Fleet Feet Store in West Hartford says she expects to have more sales this week than the entire month of December.

There you have it Citizens of Connecticut and anyone else who is buying these items inside state lines. Before I go though, I do want to point out the hilarious fake "shopping" Ned The Gov did, it made me chuckle and I almost wanted to rewrite the whole article and focus only on that, but cooler heads prevailed. Check out Ned's shopping here and on his YouTube vid...LOVE IT! Those shorts are not his style, nor would they fit.
