Latest Gas Price Trends In Greater Danbury For Travelers

According to the most recent gas post (6/26/25) from AAA, things are heating up outside, but gas prices are staying pretty chill—at least for now. Over the weekend, U.S. airstrikes caused oil prices to jump, hitting around $78 a barrel Sunday night. But just as fast as they spiked, they settled right back down by Monday. So, despite some global drama, the pump prices haven’t gone wild (yet).

With the Fourth of July travel rush coming up and more than 61 million people expected to hit the road, AAA says we might see a small bump in gas prices. For now, though, the national average sits at $3.22 per gallon—up just two cents from last week and still 27 cents lower than this time last year. So, if you're road-tripping, you're not getting totally gouged... yet.
