Brookfield's Candlewood Boat Committee took a trip to Superior, Wisconsin recently to check on the progress of Brookfield Fire Departments new water craft, the Marine 25.

According to a social media post from Brookfield's Candlewood Co., the trip was the "pre-paint inspection," where the committee was given the opportunity to inspect the boat and review the specifications with the engineers at Lake Assault.

Back in April, we told you all about the new Marine craft that will be used by Brookfield FD's Candlewood Company to patrol Candlewood Lake.

While spending two days at the shipyard and after spending some quality time on the boat, the committee was able to make various changes to improve usability and ergonomics before the boat goes off for painting. After that, the finishing touches will be added and it will undergo the final process of electrical wiring installation and engine rigging.

After not only seeing the new Marine 25 in person, but taking it out for a test run, the committee was very happy with the quality of the boat’s construction. The committee is dedicated to having the best new craft in the area.

Marine 25 is currently scheduled for an early July delivery. Then look for it out on the water this summer.
