Camping for Cans is I-95's annual food/donation drive to benefit the Hillside Food Outreach. Typically, the I-95 team broadcasts live from a parking lot in the Greater Danbury Area, lives out of an RV and collects cash and non-perishable food items for the Hillside Food Outreach, we do this every year, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

This year, we've had to make health and safety adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is still very much happening and starts Friday, November 20 at 6 am and runs until Sunday, November 22 at 4 pm.

We will have contact free, drive-thru collection station in the BJ's parking lot at 106 Federal Road in Brookfield for physical drop off of non-perishable food donations. We will collect all monetary donations through the I-95 Rock app and we will still entertain you throughout the weekend.

The Ethan and Lou Show will broadcast live outside the studio, at a secret remote location Friday morning and then we will do the rest of our weekend schedule from the I-95 studio. We will be joined by special guests Christine O'Leary and Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton.

From the studio over the weekend, we will do the marathon broadcast the way you know and love it. We will be with you around the clock for three full days, encouraging your donations, taking calls and doing Facebook/Instagram live videos.

Your donations to the Hillside Food Outreach will go directly to hundreds of families and individuals in our local area in the coming winter. The Hillside Food Outreach touches over 2,000 families every week.

This year, more than ever this event would simply not be possible without the generous aide of our sponsors:

Thank you to the moon and back for supporting this event that means so much to I-95, it's listeners, the Greater Danbury Area and the Hillside Food Outreach.

Nothing has been, how we want it to be in 2020 but I promise to make Camping for Cans as exciting and enjoyable, as any year prior. All you will need is your phone, your radio, your wallet, the giving spirit and the app (OK, that sounds like a lot but we know it's not.)

Camping for Cans 2020 is on and can't come a moment too soon. If you have any more questions about this event download the I-95 Rock Mobile app for free.
