The driver of a Peter Pan coach bus has been arrested after being accused of locking a passenger in the luggage compartment.

According to the Hartford CourantConnecticut State Police received a 911 call from a woman, claiming to be locked inside the compartment as the bus was traveling eastbound on Interstate 84 toward Boston.

With the information provided through the call and the phone's location services, Troopers were able to track down the bus near exit 73 in Union, CT.

Once the bus was pulled over, the 32-year-old victim from Long Beach, NY was indeed discovered to be inside of the luggage compartment. As a result, troopers arrested 49-year-old bus driver Wendy Helena Alberty on charges of unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment and breach of peace. She was released after posting her $2,000 bail and is set to appear in court on August 21.

As of this writing, there have been conflicting reports as to where Alberty is from. WFSB reports that she is from East Lyme, CT, the Courant says she's from Brooklyn, and NBC Connecticut says her home address is in New Jersey.

There has been no indication yet of just how long the 32-year-old woman was locked inside the compartment or even why Alberty allegedly locked her in there in the first place.
