Bridge Over I-84 in Southbury to Be Closed For 5 Weeks
If this is a route you use, it's time to make a plan for a change in it.
Driving can be a nightmare. It's always good to know in advance what to expect. Thanks to Connecticut's Department of Transportation for the advance notice about this significant closure in the Southbury area.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation frequently gives notice about closures around the state at ct.gov/dot and a recent one is announcing an over month long closure on Bullet Hill Bridge in Southbury over I-84.
Bullet Hill Road Bridge over I-84 in the Town of Southbury will be closed beginning June 11, 2018, for five weeks through July 16, 2018. The closure is required in order to perform necessary concrete deck and joint repairs. The final configuration will include a newly paved wearing surface on the bridge and approach slabs.
As always, it's good to plan for a different route in advance. That said, the DOT release states that a signed detour will be established along Depot Hill Road, South Street, Route 6/67 and Kettletown Road in Southbury.
