Local police are giving a heads up to residents, as they expect to see some heavy traffic delays over the next couple of week days.

According to the Brookfield Police Department, the aforementioned traffic delays are expected on both Friday, September 27, and on Monday, September 30, as the result of of the ongoing road construction throughout Brookfield Town Center, better known as the "Four Corners."

Between Friday and Monday, starting at 7:00 AM and ending around 3:00 PM on both days, the previously existing roadway will be milled, followed by the paving of a new road surface. Because of that work, the majority of the Brookfield Town Center area will be reduced to one driving lane.

Despite the fact that they're asking people to avoid the Four Corners area during construction time in hopes of both reducing traffic congestion and increasing work zone safety, the BPD makes note that all of the businesses in the area are "open and certainly, welcome you!"
