According to a press release on the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, the crash happened a little before 7 PM at the intersection of Candlewood Lake Road and Huckleberry Hill Road.

Fortunately, the crash was witnessed by a member of the Brookfield Fire Company, who immediately was able to call dispatch and advise them about the accident that had just happened, and to report that there were two occupants trapped in one of the vehicles involved in the crash with a pick-up truck. When crews arrived on the scene, they stabilized the vehicle's, and went to work to gain entry to free the two that were trapped. The patients were removed from the vehicle and transported to Danbury Hospital.

According to the Brookfield Fire Company's assistant chief both had non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the pick-up truck involved declined treatment at the hospital.
