What's the big deal about going out to your favorite restaurant? It's the perfect opportunity to hang out with friends over a delicious meal, a couple of cocktails, and enjoyable conversation. The following interview with Governor Lamont was conducted by CNBC on April 28 regarding reopening Connecticut's economy.
Governor Lamont wants to make sure that residents are aware that by law, restaurants won't be able to begin the process of reopening until May 20. The process will unfold gradually. According to patch.com, the following pledge was made public by the Connecticut Restaurant Association.
The promise is a public pledge from local restaurant owners to the public, detailing how they will use every necessary safety and sanitation measure as the state plans its reopening in order to protect their employers and their customers.
When in-house dining gradually begins to take shape, what will it look like? The following are just a sample of the changes and protocol that will take place inside Connecticut restaurants, according to patchconnecticut.com.
- Indoor and outdoor seating will meet all social distancing guidelines.
- Hand sanitizer or handwashing stations will be available at all entrances.
- Place settings, utensils, or anything the customer comes in contact with will be sanitized after every use.
