Axe Throwing Is a Thing and It’s Taking Connecticut by Storm
Need to work off some anger or maybe you're searching for an offbeat evening of fun.
It all began in 2018 when Merle McKenzie opened up his 8,000 square foot 'Montana Nights Axe Throwing' business at 80 Fenn Road in Newington. McKenzie told the Bristol Press his business took off and is "going gangbusters!"
Honestly, I never knew ax-throwing was a thing until now. Imagine the rush of swinging an ax behind your head and flinging it into a wooden target. Grab a beer at their truck bar and fantasize about being a lumberjack.
Business is so good, McKenzie will soon begin construction on a new Montana Nights on Centre Street in Southington according to the Bristol Press. Like its original location, it will have that comfortable rustic Montana lodge feel.
Also in the planning stages are ax-throwing leagues in the new Southington location. For everything you need to know about an evening of ax throwing, click on montananightsaxthrowing.com.
