Amazing Record Breaking $15M New Canaan Estate Up For Sale
How many of us have made the list of things we would get or do if we had the ways and means? You know, the list of things you'll go out and buy the very next day you hit the mega millions jackpot or something like that. I am willing to bet that an amazing home would be one of the very first things on your list and do we have a nice one for you at just under 15 million bucks...
The address is 544 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, and hides behind a 1500-foot stone wall in one of Connecticut's wealthiest neighborhoods. According to CNBC, the home was built in 1929 and is the most expensive for sale in New Canaan at $14.9 million. The record stands at $14.3 million for a 14,000-square-foot mansion in 2014.
If I had to guess, I would say the most expensive house in my small town of Chanute, Kansas, without looking up public records would probably be around $2 million, maybe. To say that I am unfamiliar with that type of money would be an understatement. Nonetheless, God bless ya if you have that kind of scratch.
Anyway, this place has over 6.2 acres of property with 25,000 square feet with three structures. I hope 35 rooms, 12 bedrooms, 16 baths, a nice sized pool, and a basketball court would be enough for you, but if not, I guess you could always add on. The place was designed by architect William Tubby, never heard of him, but his name was close to that of Billy Tubbs, a former head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners basketball team and it made me chuckle a bit.
Here are some amazing pics of this possible "record-breaking" mansion in New Canaan. Thanks for hanging out with me, and see you again real soon.
