I can't believe it's been 25 years since the release of "Jagged Little Pill" but it has and Alanis Morissette plans to celebrate with an extensive tour. The 2020 "Jagged Little Pill" Tour will make a stop here in the Nutmeg State, coming to Hartford's XFINITY Theatre on June 27th. This is not the only Tri-State area date, the tour will also have stops at:

"Jagged Little Pill" sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won five of the nine Grammy's it was nominated for in 1995. That year, the album spent three months atop the Billboard album charts and sold 16 million copies domestically, making Alanis the youngest artist (at that time) to achieve "Diamond" record sales status.

Count me as one of the 30 million people on Planet Earth that bought it, it was special for sure. She was the first female rock lead whose album I bought and it was worth every penny. I took crap from my friends about it but they were lying, they owned it and listened to it in private.

FUN FACTS - My favorite artist of all-time (Dave Grohl),stole Alanis Morisette's drummer from the "Jagged Little Pill" tour. Dave was captivated by Taylor Hawkins who was Alanis' tour drummer and ended up swiping him away to join the Foo Fighters and we know that worked out pretty well. Taylor is not listed as the recording drummer on the album, the bulk of that work was credited to Matt Laug who has also played with Alice Cooper and Slash's "Snakepit."
