Naugatuck and Waterbury are on the brink of a major transformation. According to mycitizensnews.com, a 650,000-square-foot warehouse is set to rise in this bustling Connecticut area, promising significant change more than two-and-a-half years after the plan was first announced. For those of you living in Naugatuck and Waterbury, how do YOU feel about this MEGA Amazon warehouse? Comments are welcome!

According to ctinsider.com, the 183-acre site will have 59 loading docks and parking for over 1,000 vehicles and will straddle the communities of Naugatuck and Waterbury. The new Amazon warehouse is set to create many job opportunities for the local community.

With its impressive six-story structure, this facility will likely require hundreds of employees across various roles, from entry-level positions to management opportunities; there's something for everyone. This influx of jobs could reduce unemployment rates and help stimulate the local economy.

Now that the critical yet boring news is out of the way, let's get to the good stuff: During the past decade, The former head honcho at Amazon, Jeff Bezos' wealth increased by $167 billion, or $16.7 billion per year, or $45.8 million per day and $1.9 million per hour according to the website nasdaq.com. Because Bezos' investments make money while he sleeps, we didn't use a workday or workweek of 8 hours or 40 hours.

According to architecturaldigest.com, here are some of the ways Bezos' spends his money as his wealth increases by nearly $2 million every hour. Bezos, like many billionaires, buys real estate as a means of investing and as a hobby. He bought two mansions on Indian Creek Island, sometimes referred to as "Billionaire Bunker" island, in 2023 for $68 million and $79 million, according to NYPost.com.

He also owns a $78 million property in Maui, Hawaii, as well as properties in Washington, California, Texas, and New York, according to Benzinga. How did Jeff Bezos make his dream come true? I watched the following YouTube video which answered that question. I highly recommend you give it a look and then scroll through my photo gallery.
