    Shelby

Shelby was a mother of four outgoing puppies, however she is a little on the shy side. She is a really sweet-nature dog who is looking for a calm home where she can come out of her shell. She gets along well with other dogs so a home with another dog and a fenced in yard would be perfect. She's up to date on all her vaccines, and has been spayed since she had her liter.

    Coco

There have been a few times during our Pet of the Week segment that Melody from the Animal Welfare Society has brought by a Pit Bull as our featured pet. Now, you say Pit Bull to someone, and they have images of these very aggressive and vicious dogs that most people fear. But with just about every Pit Bull that I have met from the Animal Welfare Society, I have met a dog that is so loving and compassionate, and a dog that gets along with everyone including other cats and dogs.

Actually, for years, Pit Bulls where used as Nanny dogs with the explicit job of watching the kids in the family. Now I don't know what kind of a Nanny Coco would be, but if you're looking for a fantastic companion dog, then Coco might be the dog for you.

    Max

MAX was signed over to the Animal Welfare Society when his owner could no longer keep him. Absolutely terrified at first he just wanted to hide. Now it is a completely different story, he is playful, loving and wants to be everyone's friend. Weighing in at 75 lbs he is a big strong boy, he knows basic commands but needs help with leash walking.

    Mica

Mica is a fun, active three-year-old Border Collie mix who loves her morning run, and really loves play time.

Now when Mica visited our Kicks 105.5 studios, she was very well-behaved, but also a little on the shy side. At the shelter, Melody said she's a totally different dog. She's very playful, loves the attention, and will develop into a much more active dog after she's more comfortable in her environment.

    Roscoe

ROSCOE is a small brindle mix from the south and he is cute! He's definitely a high spirited young man, he craves attention and is very loving. Some obedience training might help keep him honest, and with a little exercise and playtime he should be ready to spend evenings lounging on the couch.
