This article has a two-fold purpose: To highlight the Connecticut eateries featured on, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and to make Guy Fieri aware that up here in cow country, Northern Fairfield County, there are several outstanding restaurants worthy of Mr. Fieri's attention.

Hey Guy, if I may be so bold as to suggest some Greater Danbury area candidates for your 'Triple D' Food Network show, they would be:

• Route 34 Lake Zoar Drive-In - 14 Roosevelt Drive (Route 34) - Stevenson, CT
• Holiday Diner - 123 White Street - Danbury
• Denmo's Snack and Dairy - 340 Main Street South - Southbury
• Lakeside Pub - 31 Hayestown Road - Danbury

I've just scratched the surface when it comes to the possibilities for Fieri's show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

So far, Fieri has visited seven eateries in Connecticut featured on 'Triple D,' but two have since closed. The other five are Black Duck Café in Westport, Merritt Canteen in Bridgeport, O'Rourke's Diner in Middletown, Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield, and Valencia Luncheria in Norwalk.
