3 Greater Danbury Area Eateries Named Best New Restaurants by ‘CT Magazine’
Three brand new greater Danbury area restaurants have just been rated outstanding by Connecticut Magazine.
I always look forward to Connecticut Magazine's "Best Restaurants" edition as they kick off a brand new year and best of all, the restaurant reviews are delivered by two different sources, the food experts and the magazine's readers.
CT Magazine's Best Restaurants 2019: Experts' Picks include dozens of eateries throughout most counties in Connecticut. Many different restaurant categories are included in the article such as 'Most Romantic' and 'Best American' etc. In the Best New Restaurant' category, fourteen new eateries have been chosen and three of those eateries are right here in the greater Danbury area.
Broken Symmetry Gastro Brewery - Located at the old train station at 5 Depot Place in Bethel, this eatery is not only a comfortable and tasty place to dine but is also one of this areas' newest breweries. Comments on Yelp.com include "great food," "This place is a hit," The carne asida fries hit the spot," and "Love the vibe and the atmosphere."
Gaudi Tapas & Wine - Located at 52 1/2 Pembroke Rd. (Rt. 37) in Danbury (just past the Danbury FCI) According to their FB page, they offer the flavors of Barcelona and Mediterranean inspired food. Comments mentioned on Yelp.com include, "This place is outstanding," "Everything we've had there is top notch," and "The best tapas I've had outside Barcelona."
Lucas Local Oyster Bar and Woodfire Cookery - Located at 48 South Main St. in Newtown, Lucas Local calls themselves a seafood-centric restaurant offering fresh and savory New England oysters and fish. Comments mentioned on Yelp.com. include, "The Rhode Island clam chowder is the best we've ever had." "The ambiance is intimate and relaxed," and "Best oysters I've ever had!"
