In 1999 Mimi Leto suffered the unthinkable when her son, Joe, passed away. Since then it's been Mimi's mission to keep his memory alive with the annual "Run For Joe".

U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Joe Leto graduated from Canterbury School in 1997. Two years later, he died during training exercises while a lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.

In the aftermath of his tragic death, his mom, and the Leto family set up the Joe Leto Scholarship Fund and have hosted the annual "Run For Joe", a one mile fun run and 5K, along with his Alma Mater, the Canterbury School. Each year the family has donated all the money raised during the "Run For Joe" and awarded a scholarship to a Canterbury student from the area.

Over the past 20 years the "Run For Joe" has raised more than $200,000.

In honor of Joe's 21 years of life, the family invites you to join your family, friends and neighbors during the FINAL celebration this Sunday October 6th as the Canterbury School host's the 21st Annual "Run For Joe".
