The 11th Annual Independent Bookstore Day is Saturday, April 27, 2024, it's a one-day celebration held at over 1,000 independent bookstores across the US. It's been organized to give an opportunity for readers to support those who continue to fight against the big box retailers.

Connecticut has over a dozen independent booksellers participating this year, according to indiebound.org. The two that immediately popped into my head are Connecticut's most famous - RJ Julia in Madison, and Rory's favorite place - The Hickory Stick in Washington Depot. Both are participants for 2024, and here are over a dozen more.
