According to the New York State Department of Transportation, commuters driving into New York City might want to steer clear of the Hutchinson River Parkway from midnight on Saturday, December 11, through 5 AM on Monday, December 13 due to road closures.

The closed down portion of the Hutch will be from Exit 4A (I-95 North/New Haven) in the Village of Pelham Manor to Exit 8 (Cross County Parkway/George Washington Bridge) in New Rochelle. For alternate routes, click on dailyvoice.com.

The Hutchinson River Parkway, known as the Hutch, is a north-south parkway in southern New York in the United States. It extends for 18.71 miles from the massive Bruckner Interchange in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx to the New York–Connecticut state line at Rye Brook.

Construction of the Parkway began in 1924 and was completed in 1941 and was named after Anne Hutchinson, a Westchester resident and one of the 17th-century pioneers of religious freedom in the American colonies.

In June 2018, Westchester County executives became increasingly frustrated with the number of trucks finding their way onto the Parkway, crashing into overpasses, and snarling traffic.
