Damn! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, Martha Stewart announced on her social media yesterday that she is holding her first ever tag/garage/yard/estate sale next weekend, April 23 & 24, 2022 at her farm in Bedford / Katonah, NY. According to Stewart:

"There will be something for everyone at the Great American Tag Sale! I'm selling thousands of items - furniture, tableware, kitchenware, textiles, lighting, bedding, rugs, vintage, antiques, lightly used, and so much more!"

The proceeds from the event are going to the Martha Stewart Centers for Living at NYC's Mount Sinai. Stewart continues the information on marthastagsale.com:

"Over the years, I've collected thousands of wonderful things for my homes and my workplaces. Now I am ready to share a curated selection of items at my first ever Tag/Garage/Yard/Estate/Get-Rid-Of-It Sale! You'll find a magnificent assortment of "This and that", including items of furniture, tableware, art, linens, clothing, plants, decorations, holiday, kitchen, and more. Please come, contribute, and BUY! We want no leftovers!"

As you can imagine, the $250 dollar tickets, which allow you in early in the day on Saturday April 23, 2022, sold out almost instantly. There are still $150, $75, and $50 tickets available as of me writing this. Also of note, to get to the tag sale, you must park at John Jay Homestead on Jay Street in Katonah, and then hop onto a shuttle that will take you over to Martha Stewart's farm. So, hurry up if you want to purchase tasty linens and white flowered bedding. Click HERE for tickets.

Hop Along On The Connecticut Salad Bar Trail

Connecticut restaurants are always championed for their pizza, seafood, hamburgers, and hotdogs, but I want a great salad for my entree more often than not lately. If you're sick of the meat sweats, here are some of my favorite places around Connecticut to get a great salad, or graze along a beautiful salad bar.
