Wyoming-Based Fast Food Chain Set to Open First Connecticut Location
I get happy when brands take a chance on Connecticut.
Especially when it's a state that's nowhere near us. I'm always curious to know what goes into it and what makes us stand out from the rest of the states along the east. I know we have a pretty big food scene here, but I consider us on the smaller side, so I'm interested to know what kind of numbers we pull in with this type of research. I guess that's a conversation for another day.

I have never heard of Taco John's before, so this is all new to me. Taco John's is a Wyoming-based fast food chain that specializes in Mexican food favorites. According to their website, they started out as a small taco stand in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1969. After becoming so popular within the community, they purchased the franchise rights and their story began. They now have around 370 locations in 22 states and are mostly in the Midwest. The only other state on the east to see a Taco John's is Massachusetts. You can see their full list of states here.
That will change soon as a Taco John's will be coming to Connecticut. According to the Connecticut Scoop, they will be coming to Newington and taking over the previous Ashley Furniture space. It looks like they are still in the process with the town.
If you're wondering what Taco John's has across their menu, it is a variety of Mexican food favorites. They have burritos, quesadillas, tacos, taco salads, etc. I'm excited to see the buzz around it when they do officially open. For now, there is no official opening date, but I will be sure to update this article when there is one.
