Springfield’s Hot Table Panini Expanding into Connecticut Again

Subway has owned Connecticut, and the world, for the past four decades with their formerly $5 footlongs. Right, anyway, a regional Panini maker based out of nearby Springfield, Massachusetts has announced their fourth location in our state, get ready for something different sandwich lovers of Connecticut - Hot Table Panini.

Every few years, a new contender steps up to try and take a piece of our grinder/sandwich obsession with a new concept. Remember D'Angelo's? Quizno's? Did we ever even have a Firehouse Sub? Springfield, Massachusetts-based Hot Table Panini is hoping that they're pillowy-grilled handheld sandwiches will eventually make it South of I-84 here in Connecticut. There are three Hot Table locations so far:

• 83 Freshwater Boulevard - Enfield
• 2876 Main Street - Glastonbury
• 1445 New Britain Ave - West Hartford

According to hottable.com, Connecticut's fourth Hot Table will be located next to Trader Joe's, at 1540 Pleasant Valley Road in the Plaza at Buckland Hills in Manchester. When? Winter 2024.

According to their website, Hot Table was founded in 2007 in Springfield by brothers Chris and John DeVoie, and restauranteur Don Watroba. Hot Table has 12 locations at this moment, with most operating in the Springfield, Greater Worcester/Boston, Mass area.

What can you expect on the menu? It's pretty simple: Panini sandwiches, salads, soups and sides, and beverages. A wide variety of Panini sandwiches are on the menu, some of the ones that caught my attention are the Black & Blue, and other varieties of steak & cheese, a Caprese, Cubano, and quite a few chicken choices.
