Danbury's WestConn Colonials Football team just dropped a 2021 recap hype video and it is awesome.
You may know that I have a passion for these type sports videos, in fact last week I did an article about the WestConn Colonials Men's Basketball team video. For the uninitiated, a hype video is a dramatic video reel of the team in action, set to music.
Snapshots from Danbury's WestConn Colonials Football Team for 2021
These are some of the photos from the Danbury Colonials College Football team recap video for the 2021 season. WestConn football's 2021 season is in the books, the team went 5-5 on the year but finished strong.
This video has inspired me on several fronts, the first being trying to convince my 4 children to go to WestConn when it's time for college, so they can stay close to their mom and I.
The other thing this makes me want to do, is reinstate the intern program at my radio station. I could definitely use some video production help in 2022. My radio show (The Ethan & Lou Show on I-95) does many bits and events that need to be visually documented.
P.S. I'll tell you what I really appreciate about the video, it's centrally focused on the players, not the coaches. Sometimes in these videos there is an obvious effort to stroke the egos of the coaches.
The coaches take no snaps, run no routes and they don't take any shots to the head, they shouldn't be featured in these videos, they get enough attention for standing around, shouting and wearing dopey visors.
Yes, welcome to me, if you are new to my writing or radio show, this is how I get down, I take unprovoked shots at people that never saw it coming.
P.S. 2 - If you are a student at WCSU and you're not listening to the Ethan & Lou Show, you are missing out. Imagine if the conversations you have in your dorm room were broadcast on a monster radio station, that is our show.
Listen to the Show on 95.1 FM, stream on the I-95 Rock Mobile app or check out the condensed version of the show with no music and limited commercials with the Ethan & Lou Show Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google or wherever you get your podcasts.

What Christmas movie can you watch that you’ve never seen before? These are 5 Underrated Christmas Movies Your Family Has Probably Never Seen.

Danbury Area Residents Showoff Their Recent Moon Photos
I happened to be awake for the partial lunar eclipse on Friday morning (11/19/21), I'm always awake, and out of the house around 4 am for work but I nearly missed it. I knew about it the celestial event but I forgot when I woke up. Then, I was driving down Route 7 towards Brookfield, CT headed for the I-95 studio and the sight punched me in the face. I saw one of the most brilliant and vivid moon scenes in my life. What jumped out at me was how well I could see the shape of the moon. The eclipse itself transformed the moon from a circle into a sphere for me, it made me feel small and insignificant in the best way possible. While the lunar eclipse was a show worth seeing, it was not the only day the moon was working magic on anyone willing to look up, there has been a show in the sky for the past few weeks. I snapped a few photos of the moon's majesty last week (11/16/21), posted one and asked the Ethan and Lou Radio Show (I-95) listeners to share theirs, this is what they sent me.
