Town Wide Shred-It and Clean-Up Events to Happen in Danbury and New Fairfield
On Saturday, May 6, both New Fairfield and Danbury are offering residents the chance to clean up.
We could all use a little help in getting our house in order. Maybe your yard looks like a bomb went off. Perhaps you're like me, and no matter how much you shred paper yourself, the pile never goes away.
New Fairfield and Danbury to the rescue -- paper shredding included!
The New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society ( NFSAW ) is holding a Shred-It and Spring Clean-Up on Saturday, May 6, from 9 AM until noon. The event is a fundraiser for the organization, which is celebrating their 40th anniversary as a non-profit. Interested? Here's the specifics.
The event takes place in the New Fairfield Stop & Shop parking lot, located at the intersection of Route 37 and 39. Get all of your documents boxed up, and they'll be shredded on site by Shred-It, a company from Cheshire Connecticut.
NFSAW will also be collecting clothing, shoes, belts, ties, handbags, backpacks, table cloths, curtains, bedding -- no mattresses -- and more. All items need to be in plastic bags, or boxed up. No furniture will be excepted.
May 6 is also the date for a city-wide clean up in Danbury. Whether you want to volunteer your time or just need to get rid of some items, it runs from 8 AM until noon. Shredding will also be available. Here's all the information:
Nothing quite says a breathe of fresh air, like Spring cleaning.
