2 CT College Campuses Ranked Among the Most Beautiful in the U.S.

It was August of '73. I stood confidently in the quad of Ithaca College, enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The green lawns and impressive dorms radiated energy and promise. The sounds of students chatting and laughing made me feel at home. Truthfully, I was a bit nervous and couldn't believe I was finally here to begin my journey into the world of radio broadcasting. In 1973, the tuition for attending Ithaca College was $4,000. Today, that cost has skyrocketed to $79,019!

Conde Nast Traveler recently published an article featuring the 54 most beautiful college campuses in the United States. Yale University, located in New Haven, is one of the institutions recognized for its stunning landscapes and architecture.

Wesleyan University, situated in Middletown, has been recognized as one of the Top 54 Most Beautiful Campuses in the United States. It is the second university in Connecticut to receive this honor.

U.S. News & World Report has released its '2025 Best Liberal Arts Colleges Rankings,' positioning Wesleyan University at #18 in the nation. With an impressive selection of 47 majors and around 900 courses available, Wesleyan maintains a favorable student-faculty ratio of 7:1, ensuring personalized attention for its students.

Those of us who live in Connecticut know, this place is NOT what the rest of the country thinks it is. We have folks struggling to get by, we have crime, drugs and very dangerous neighborhoods. Recently, I set out to find the most dangerous city in Connecticut and I got a lot more detail than I bargained for. After determining Hartford was the city with the most violent crime, I was able to find the specific places that are the most dangerous within the city.
