It is a "legendary" moment captured in time, Marilyn singing for the President. But have you ever watched it all the way through?

President John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917. On May 19, 1962 there was a birthday tribute thrown for him at Madison Square Garden in New York City. During the event Marilyn Monroe came out on stage to sing the now "legendary" breathy rendition of "Happy Birthday, Mister President."

The first part of the clip has been immortalized and shown over and over again thru out the decades. The "Birthday" part is what became legend...BUT she launched into a version of "Thanks for the Memories" mid-way thru the recording...and almost cups her famous breast!

Given the fact that by the time of her performance rumors were flying around about their affair..it makes the moment much more daring! Tame by today's "standards"..but shocking back then for sure. On the 53rd anniversary of the performance it "bares" repeating!
