If you're a fan of the early Summer/Mother's Day/May Greek Festival at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and you can't wait til next Summer, well my Moussaka-loving neighbor, you're in luck.

As I was driving into work this morning, I saw that a big sign had gone up in the parking lot of the church, which is located at 937 Chase Parkway in Waterbury. It announces that there will be a mini Greek Food Festival held at the church on Saturday October 19 from 11AM to 7PM.

I drool at the thought of fresh Gyros, Souvlaki, Spanakopita, Greek Salads, Loukoumades, and Baklava being available within a couple of miles from my apartment.

The event is being sponsored by the Ladies Philoptochos Society, and it's free to attend. Among the other delicious goodies that I haven't mentioned above that are going to be available are Pastitsio, Tiropita, Greek Bean Soup, Diples, Rice Pudding, and good old plain chicken.
