A brand-new gun and ammo store just opened up their doors for business on Main Street in Watertown over the weekend.

Watertown Gunshop officially opened their doors this past Saturday morning, January 23, at 667 Main Street. They're located in the building that used to house Prepare to Act, right between Fino Pizza and the old Red Door/Ouzo Blue. I remember it used to be the old Annie Oakley's back in the day.
The downtown Watertown location is going to be a huge score for sportsmen and enthusiasts who won't have to drive to Waterbury, Wolcott, or Naugatuck for supplies and ammo. Here's a post from the official Watertown Gunshop Facebook page that will give you a look at the new store's interior:
In the State of Connecticut, you cannot purchase a handgun unless you have a valid permit to carry. Our state has very stringent restrictions on the purchase and carrying of firearms and ammo. If you are in the market for a long gun, you must also obtain an eligibility certificate before purchase will be allowed. To read more about Connecticut's gun policies, click HERE.
Watertown Gunshop will be offering the one-day safety classes that are needed to obtain your pistol permit. The next classes being offered are on the weekend of February 6 and 7, 2021. The Watertown Gunshop instructors are only charging $100 for the class which is very reasonable. I've seen the course go for as much as $130 recently. Find out more about the store and the firearm classes that they will be offering on the Watertown Gunshop Facebook Page, or call them at 203-741-8225.
