New Milford’s Pet Thrift Shop Returns This Weekend
There's nothing better than enjoying your furry friends -- I love my Chihuahua RayRay. But if you're a pet owner, you know that everyday pet items aren't cheap. I enjoy finding products that make our lives better. I've been looking around for a new harness and maybe a car seat for my little guy for the upcoming summer road trips.
If you're encountering pet store sticker shock like I have lately, starting this coming weekend, the Elephant's Trunk won't be the only place in New Milford where you can find a bargain. The Animal Welfare Society of New Milford is going to start up their Pet Thrift Shop.
This Saturday, April 10, from 10 AM to 1 PM, you can purchase new and gently used pet products, including collars, harnesses, leashes, elevated feeding stations, pet ramps & steps, grooming tools, jackets, sweaters, soft-sided carriers and bowls, among more items that arrive through donations every day. The pet thrift shop happens at the Animal Welfare Society of New Milford, which is located at 8 Dodd Road. They ask that everyone maintain and practice social distancing at the event and are requiring everyone to wear a mask at all times for everyone's safety.
This isn't the only weekend that this event is happening, the Animal Welfare Society of New Milford's Pet Thrift Shop is going to happen on the 2nd Saturday of the month, every month through October 2021. So mark your calendars for May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, and October 9. For more info, go to the Animal Welfare Society's website by clicking HERE
