A couple of months or more ago we pointed out that 'Frasier' himself was in Connecticut filming a holiday movie for Lifetime and that movie has now made its debut.

I have to be completely honest with you about this whole Lifetime movie thing. Not a fan and will probably not see a second of this film unless it happens by accident. It's a tough sell to get me to watch anything that doesn't involve football or basketball. Don't get me wrong, I believe I have a good eye when it comes to television and the quality of which I will partake in that is not a live sporting event. That being said, Lifetime movies have an audience, and needless to say, I am not in that group.

It's called "The 12 Days of Christmas Eve" and Kelsey Grammer is the big-ticket celebrity to draw the TV-watching public for all intents and purposes, is another retelling of the classic "A Christmas Carol." It made its debut this weekend and according to an article in The Day, was shot in Connecticut over 14 days in September and October.

Film crews coming to your town is kind of a big deal and does good things for the local economy no doubt. The locations included downtown New London and the Branford House at UConn Avery Point in Groton and they spent a day filming at Keith's Appliance in Norwich.

Another film location was Norm's Diner in Groton.

Charter Oak Credit Union off Route 85 in Waterford was used for four days, according to the article. Not going to spoil for you what part of the movie was filmed here.

Those are some of the locations that the Lifetime film crew paid visits to in the process of filming what is sure to be a "holiday classic" for years to come. Maybe not, but if you do check out the film, let me know how it goes. Grammer's daughter Spencer co-stars with her father, and again, it is a Lifetime movie so brace yourself. Also, the Fraiser star's production company is partly responsible for the idea of the film and collaborated with Lifetime. Mohegan Sun was also a filming location and one of the places Kelsey was spotted while filming was happening.
