Mohegan Sun to Host UConn’s First Step Towards a Three-peat
The University of Connecticut's back-to-back National Champion men's basketball team will take their first step towards a Three-peat in front of some of the NBA's greatest players, inside the most incredible venue in our state.
The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, located in nearby Springfield, Massachusetts, has just announced that the very first Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game will take place on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Mohegan Sun Arena, where the UConn Huskies will take on an old foe that they've played 145 times since 1907, the University of Rhode Island Rams. It's a familiar matchup with legitimately one of UConn's oldest rivals, and UConn leads the all-time series by a margin of 77-68.
The inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game is the latest event announced with an incredible line up of events honoring the inductees of the Class of 2024 already taking place at Mohegan Sun.
On Saturday, October 12, a ticketed autograph session will take place from 11AM to 12:30PM. Tickets are not cheap, $750 or $500, but each ticket grants one autograph per class member. The Class of 2024 inductees are: Chauncey Billups, Vince Carter, Michael Cooper, Walter Davis, Bo Ryan, Charles Smith, Seimone Augustus, Dick Barnett, Harley Redin, Michele Tims, Doug Collins, Jerry West, and Herb Simon. A media session and awards ceremony will also take place at Mohegan Sun. Sunday, all events take place at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, before returning to Mohegan Sun for the inaugural Enshrinement Game benefitting Coaches vs Cancer.
