Butter sculptures, Clydesdale horses, and Gary Rossington are a potent combination. You can experience all three on October 2, 2022 in West Springfield, Massachusetts. The bonus is you can see the butter and horses for free, if you buy a concert ticket to see Rossington.

The Big E, New England's great multi-state fair, has just announced that the one and only Lynyrd Skynyrd will close out their 2022 Big E arena concert schedule on the last day of the event, Sunday October 2, 2022. Skynyrd will bring their legit classic rock anthems into a musical lineup which includes Dropkick Murphys, Sublime with Rome, The Yardbirds, Canned Heat, and the Baha Men. Funny, 22 years later, The Baha Men still haven't figured out who let those damn dogs out.

The last surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, lead guitarist Gary Rossington, will take the Big E Arena stage with Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark "Sparky" Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Johnny Colt, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington, and Carol Chase

If you can't wait to enjoy your live Lynyrd Skynyrd with corndogs and clam fritters in October, perhaps you'd prefer it in July here in Connecticut? Skynyrd is slated to play the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport on July 2, 2022.

What can you expect for a playlist? Skynyrd recently played at Jones Beach, and broke out a 16-song set heavy with their legendary anthems, including: Tuesday's Gone, Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man, Saturday Night Special, Gimme Three Steps, and of course, the grand finale encore - Free Bird. Tickets for the October 2, 2022 show on the Big E Arena stage go on sale tomorrow at 10AM at thebige.com, and they range from $79 - $514. I better get a Maine potato and a Rhode Island clam fritter included if I go for the $514 VIP ticket Big E.

The 'George Costanza-Level' Public Restrooms of Connecticut

Seinfeld is great for it's exploration of our quirks, and I identify so much with Seinfeld character George Costanza's level of standard for public restrooms that he would use. Some public restrooms are far superior to others around Connecticut, and here are some of my picks for the nicest ones.
