Every year, the State of Connecticut's Ctvisit.com recruits Connecticut businesses and attractions to offer free or reduced admission and free products to the pubic at an all day event that they've dubbed "Open House Day".

For this year's event, the state has recruited over 140 different places to offer freebies, and the date of the event is tomorrow, June 12, 2021. I took a look through the list, which is broken down into Connecticut's 8 counties, and here are a few of the places/attractions that caught my eye -

  • Fairfield County -The Danbury Library will be offering a free swag bag to visitors
  • Reduced admission is being offered at Aldrich Museum - Ridgefield

Recently, on 'The Place You Live' on the i95 morning show with Ethan & Lou and Mike Allan,

If you've never been to the New Britain Museum of Art, you should. They are offering free admission all day tomorrow also. Lyman Orchards in Middlefield is doing something pretty unique; they're bringing in 5 different children's book authors to read from their books, and having meet & greets afterwards.

If you've never been to the Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum in Cheshire, it's very cool, and they are waiving their admission fee for all visitors on Open House Day.

Many other places have thrown their proverbial hat in the ring to catch your attention. If you'd like to check out all of the offerings for Open House Day 2021 in Connecticut, click HERE
