I found a couple of easy ways to save yourself a few bucks this week, which is nice, especially with Valentine's Day coming up so soon. The breakfast and lunch diner business is very tough here in Connecticut, we've seen many local places come and go over the years. A longtime American breakfast/lunch diner/restaurant mainstay over the past few decades has been Jimmy's on Main Street in Watertown. According to their website, the business was started 30 years ago, in 1991. The current owners, the Ligi family, bought the business in 2001, and continue to oversee day to day operations. This year, they're celebrating 20 years in business. 20 years in any business is an accomplishment, especially in the restaurant industry. What's even more unheard of in this pandemic is restaurant owners offering up their food at discounted prices, it's almost impossible to even get a beverage for under $2 in 2021. But, in celebration of their 20 year anniversary, Jimmy's of Watertown is offering up a few of their favorite breakfast selections for only $2 each this week.

So right through this Sunday, February 7, 2021, as a thank you from the Ligi Family for your patronage and support over the past 20 years, you can get any one of 5 breakfast specials for only $2 at Jimmy's. The offer is only available if you dine-in. But, jeez, what an incredibly generous offer. You can choose between the 2 Egg Special, a 2 Egg Cheese Omelette, French Toast, Pancakes, or the classic Egg Sandwich with your choice of sausage or bacon. Any of those for $2? What an awesome thing to do when so many people are under-employed and hurting. Congratulations on keeping Watertown caffeinated and well-fed for 20 years Jimmy's, you're doing a good thing.

Another way you can save up a few extra dollars for your Valentine's Day gift for your pet is by shopping at the newly-opened Choice Pet in Ridgefield. as part of their grand Opening celebration, and in recognition of the Ridgefield store being their 15th location.  they will be offering a 15% discount store wide through this Sunday, February 7, 2021
