Another record has just been broken in one of the hottest real estate markets in the country, it's the largest sale in the history of Westport, Connecticut, and the property has an extremely rich history.

According to westportjournal.com, 5 lots on Beachside Avenue in Westport (26, 120, 122, 124, and 128) were purchased by an undisclosed buyer represented by Agent John Raus from Berkshire Hathaway for $54 million dollars on November 21, 2025. 26 Beachside Avenue was formerly owned by Harvey Weinstein, once hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama in 2012, was demolished after being sold in 2020, and sold for $9 million dollars. The lot at 120 and 122 Beachside was formerly owned by Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas. 122 was the largest and most expensive of the five lots, selling for a reported $20.2 Million, while 128 Beachside sold for $16.6 Million.

This is one of the most beautiful and exclusive stretches of shoreline in Connecticut, sandwiched between the incredible Sherwood Island State Park, Southport and Sasco Beach, and in the shadows of Greens Farms Academy.

Here's an interesting perspective, it cost $54 million for these five lots in 2025, in comparison, according to the stamfordadvocate.com, in 2013 Westport's 89,000+ Village Square shopping center at 605-645 Post Road East was sold for just around the same price - $54.25 million. For $138 million they got a 50-acre estate with one mile of shoreline, a 13,500+ square foot French Renaissance mansion, an apple orchard, and two beach houses. Oh, they have a 75 foot pool too, but you may like the Sound better.
