Governor Lamont Considers COVID-19 Vaccine Passports for Connecticut
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has been discussing the idea of digital COVID-19 passports for proof of vaccination.
Currently, there are entertainment venues, gyms, and restaurants that have begun asking for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. New York City has already incorporated this process by offering a digital app to show proof of vaccination called The Excelsior Pass. Lamont spokesman Max Reiss said it best.
We are evaluating the best approaches to provide convenient verification of vaccination status for people interested as demand increases.

In Connecticut, state employees, long-term care employees, and all K-12 teachers must be vaccinated and most hospital employees. Governor Lamont brought the idea up that it was a possibility for Connecticut in a press conference this past Monday.
While there is no conformation, it is a possibility through the Lamont administration. Additionally, the vaccine passport would not be a requirement, it would just be another way to present proof of your vaccine to businesses that require it.
So, are you for or against this vaccine passport idea?
