A compassionate nonprofit serving Connecticut and Hudson Valley, New York, with professional counseling, support groups, wellness activities, and educational resources. TBICO (an acronym for The Bridge to Independence and Career Opportunities) "is a resource center for individuals and families seeking to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency through employment, financial literacy, and stable housing," according to its website. This organization prides itself on meeting clients where they are in their journey to greater independence and stability and helping them reach their goals.

Dream Come True of Western Connecticut

This organization fulfills the wishes of seriously, chronically, and terminally ill children from the Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven counties. They've granted wishes to more than 400 local children solely based on volunteer efforts and donations. The dreams they've made come true include visiting the Animal Kingdom at Disney World, receiving a $4,000 gaming computer, and meeting all the Disney princesses.
