The CityCenter Green will transform into a Halloween playground complete with trick-or-treating, live music, food, and plenty of photo-worthy costumes.

Kids can take part in the Children’s Costume Parade, where prizes will be awarded for the Most Original, Scariest, and cutest costumes. The first 800 children in costume will snag goodie bags courtesy of AFC Urgent Care, so it’s definitely worth showing up early.

There’ll be food from The Salvation Army, a photo booth for all your “ghoul squad” pics, and local vendors helping bring that downtown Danbury energy. The whole thing is free and open to the public, so there’s no excuse to miss out.

And if the weather decides to play tricks, the fun just moves inside — Patriot Garage, Level 4 — where the candy and costumes will carry on rain or shine.

So, grab your costume, pack up the kids, and get ready for a frightfully fun afternoon at Halloween on the Green.

I’ll tell you what I really like about this event — even though it draws a big crowd, you still have room to breathe. At most family events, the flow of foot traffic has no logical flow. Parents are chasing their kids around in zigzag patterns, and before you know it, your personal space is horrifically invaded. But at this one, there’s actual space to enjoy yourself and breathe your own breath.

4 Connecticut Based Department Stores That Are No More

I certainly remember shopping at three of the stores on this list and it transports me back to my youth and that makes it a find memory. These 4 stores were not only wildly popular in their day but they had their national headquarters right here in the Nutmeg State.

Dudleytown, CT: The Ghost Town That Guards Its Secrets

What you’re about to read is a journey — my journey — into the mysteries of Dudleytown, the so-called “Village of the Damned.”

You’ll get the history, the legends, the frustrating investigations, and the eerie encounters. This isn’t just a ghost story. It’s about land ownership, mysterious incidents, government secrecy, and a community reluctant to talk. It’s curiosity pushing against walls of silence. So, buckle up — Dudleytown’s story is far stranger than you might expect.
