10 Items You Should Never Purchase at Connecticut Dollar Stores
Connecticut is an expensive place to live so people here will do just about anything to save a few bucks.
This savings hunt makes dollar stores big business in CT and we have no shortage of them. Family Dollar has 32 Connecticut stores, Dollar Tree has 56 locations and Dollar General boasts 71 outlets throughout the State. But some experts say there are items you should steer clear of at Connecticut Dollar Stores.

Connecticut folks love their dollar stores. One of those "folks" is my wife who is always giving me the business for not going to Dollar Stores.
For instance, if we are buying colored paper plates for a birthday party, I really should hit the dollar store first but it's just so much work. Instead, I go buy the premium plates at the store closest to my house and get yelled at. Sound familiar?
P.S. Whenever I am in a dollar store, I am worse than the kids. I will walk around looking for toys, gathering every piece of plastic crap I can. That is actually pretty funny because experts also say buying toys at these stores is a bad idea. My absolute favorite place to waste money is not in the dollar store, it's the 5 dollar store. There is so much fun crap in there I can't see straight, I just walk around in a zig-zag collecting future trash.
